Very pleased
I wanted to upgrade from my very basic cable connected HP printer which I have had for years. After researching what was out there, decided on this printer as was very reasonably priced and the free 5 month Instant Ink trial was a great bonus. It was easy to set up the wireless connection with simple instructions to follow. I very much like the fact that the paper is not fed in from the back, the small screen which gives you instructions, the fact that you can print double sided automatically rather than the manual process I was used to and the whole concept of the Instant Ink with different categories depending on how much you use your printer. As yet, I have not found any downside to the printer although please note that I have not yet used the scan facility or printed a picture as these are two functions that I will very very rarely use but for printing and copying an excellent product and very very good value for money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great printer for the price

Good and inexpensive printer
Simple, easy, inexpensive and with useful functions. I bought a used one (ex displayed) and it works like a new one. Only very very smallish sigs of carefull use. One time you have the driver instaled in you pc, the printer configures itself in a simple and effective way. Excellent condition

Easy setup, great value printer that just keeps on giving!
Brilliant printer and fabulous value as you sign up to an ink plan with HP to suit your budget so you never run out of ink, but you must buy your own paper. I print quite casually and so don't feel the need to 'count' how many pages I print per month as I can also check my online ink plan account anytime and upgrade if necessary. The print quality overall is great, it's exceptionally easy to use this printer for scanning too and it has a little help screen too. HP Envy 4527 - Everything you need for a home business
I purchased mine from a supplier which deals with customer returns/ex-display models. It is in immaculate condition and, despite not having any ink delivered with it (which I knew about) and it not being in it's original box, I was happy to accept this. I ordered some 3rd party remanufactured cartridges to tide me over, then signed up to HP InstantInk. The printer itself I prefer to the model it's replacing (an HP 5520 all-in-one), most of all because the paper on this model sits inside beneath the printer, whereas with the other model it was always sticking out. Wireless connection was simple and the HP App allows me to easily send documents and photos from my iPhone to the printer. The hpeprint address you can set up also enables documents to be emailed directly to the printer from outside sources, which I like. All in all, I'm very happy and definitely prefer it to my previous printer - this has a more ergonomic "footprint" and, unless I'm very much mistaken, definitely feels lighter. quality on the cheap, £19.00, insane.
Yes to all 3 above. I contacted HP to help set it up, It turned out to be so simple I didn't need their help, I downloaded the program from their site and installed it onto my windows 7 ultimate computer, once it was installed there it was very easy to set up the wireless system on my home router. Mi I-Phone & apple air & I-Pad came in automatically, I just opened a document/photo and set it to print, it asked which printer I wished to use, I clicked on the HP printer and it started straight away from all my apple devices. The only problem was to change settings I had to go back to the windows pc. Best part is no cables required apart from the power lead.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Cheap but not that cheerful.
There were cosmetically unattractive blemishes on the printer scanner lid. Presumably the remnants of a previous plastic wrapping material. The lack of a software disk and operating instructions was an obstacle to setting up. The search for drivers was ineffective for some time, and required numerous attempts over a two day period. Eventually drivers were found, but in all honesty I am still not convinced that I am getting full functionality from the device. The only saving grace is it's cheapness.
