So easy to use. Nice and sharp, so no struggling to cut through branches. Has an easy locking system. Nice and light for carrying. The D shaped handle is really good for grasping, also has none slip grip. I would definitely recommend this item, especially if your grip is slightly impaired.

Spear and Jackson older model was much much better than this one, i used one for years and it was great.this has a stupid sort of double handle does not cut as large wood and has an awkward switch to close up after use ,and it's expensive. However it is still just about better than most other types-Why did they redesign it?

I love the ratchet functionality I can cut through thick or hard shrub branches easily a bit at a time without having to have iron man hands! Makes pruning so much easier I am so glad I decided to update my old secateurs

Although I haven't had an opportunity to use these secateurs yet I can tell they are of really good quality. The ratcheting feature is particularly useful for thicker material.

These Secateurs are very good and do what they are supposed to do easily cutting twigs and branches up to 25mm thick! I had a pair of Ratchet Secateurs in the past, (not Spear and Jackson), and they were let down by the ratchet mechanism. These Secateurs have the same set up so need to see how they go?!
