A summary of bushcraft techniques that compliments the previous book set
The illustrated book combined with the other book sets of Bushcraft by Dave Canterbury helps explain techniques used in outdoor survival. You do need to read the first books in order to understand the illustrations or have knowledge of the techniques. The visual guide helps those that need an illustrated aid to comprehend and learn bushcraft survival. The illustrated book is not a good first book on how to bushcraft because it summarizes the techniques unlike the Bushcraft 101 and other books that go more in-depth of each subject. Some of the illustrations are well detailed others are very sloppy and hard to see. Illustrations should be able to stand alone and explain the concept of what it is you are trying to do, unfortunately some picture/drawings are poor and you have to guess or refer to the Bushcraft 101 or other books. I do recommend it because it still helps you refresh how to execute bushcraft techniques without all the reading. I marked yes as a good value but I would rather pay less for a book that does not go into much detail and the illustrations are not self explanatory. If you are into bushcraft, survival, or scouting the book is compelling. I read the whole book in two days taking my time and looking at the illustrations. Overall if the illustrations were self explanatory and no guess work needed, I would give it 5 stars. Because I read the first books and have general knowledge of the subject I could make out the hard to see illustrations. Buy to book on sale or second hand!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
