Great Replacement Item
This is great to temporarily hold fabrics together; I use it instead of pins when I am sewing patchwork pieces. The fabric can easily be repositioned when stuck, and it has just enough hold to keep thing in place while you sew. Dres clear, and washes out. Great glue for English Paper Piecing.
I bought this to replace a similar product that had run out. I use the glue when I am quilting to anchor my paper pieces to the fabric ones while I tack them together, the fist step of English Paper piecing. I found this temporary fabric glue very easy to work with, it is coloured pink at first so you can see where you have put it. It holds instantly but is very easy to remove the paper from the fabric when you need too coming away cleanly. This product is much better then the one I used before and is refillable which is great. Great item instead of pins.
Let's face it we all get pricked by pins (ouch)....so I was wondering if there was something else other than being pricked!. I saw a woman use this product and I thought "this I'll have to try out myself" so I did and I'm very glad I did!!! I use this product because it's so easy to use and holds the fabric together and it's temporary so it will wash out. It's a great product I highly recommend this product to anyone!!! . Brilliant alternative to stitch basting
Works perfectly for temporarily basting fabric to paper for patchwork patterns. The only downside is that the amount of glue you get in the refill stick is only enough for a few motifs. So I was only using it on the tricky shapes. Although this was a very good price I have used four sticks already and if I were to use just this glue exclusively it would soon become cost prohibitive for my large quilt. Skip all that tedious basting--this pen does it for you! I managed to perfectly glue-baste all my appliques in a fraction of the time it would take to hand-baste and honestly, the pen did a better job that I could! What I like best of all, is it's water-based so will wash out without any stiffness or residue.
