Does the 4G thing fine, does not take an SD card.
This does exactly what I wanted of such a dongle, on a 4G network. What it does not do is take an SD card so that it can also be used as a pen drive - as my 3G dongles did. I am only moving to a 4G dongle because two of our favourate UK networks are switching their 3G off next year. Oddly this device takes the SIM when it is physically the size of a 3G SIM, rather than pushing the middle bit out to make it smaller. Also, I got on to Huawei tech support (because I did not realise that my SIM was limited to 3G, because I had had it since 2007, and decided that the problem was the device, which it was not) and learned that the innards of my device were not laid out the same as the one that their support people speak of. I sent a picture. They had no explanation for this. Never mind though, it works fine with a 4G capable SIM.
