NotesOver the past several years, the VFCC Concert Choir has had the privilege of ministering in numerous churches within the United States. They have also performed at several Christian schools as well as many Assemblies of God District Councils throughout the Northeastern U.S. In addition, the VFCC Concert Choir has had the honor of singing at the White House in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Naval Academy, on live National Canadian Television and at Carnegie Hall in New York City. They have also appeared in concert with Christian Artists Larnelle Harris and Twila Paris. The repertoire of the Concert Choir is best described as eclectic, ranging from major works and sacred classics to spirituals, contemporary anthems, and worship music. The Concert Choir sings with musical excellence as well as with great passion and conviction. The director of the choir, Dr. William DeSanto, serves as professor and chairman of the Music Department at Valley Forge Christian College. Dr. DeSanto, a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, has been on the music faculty since 1987 and brings a rich background of academic accomplishments and music ministry experience. He received his Doctorate in music at the University of Oklahoma, and holds a Master of Music degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Indiana University School of Music. William DeSanto has also completed additional graduate studies at the Westminster Choir College of Rider University.
