Italian police drama that includes beautiful scenery, strong characters and touch of humour. Books are excellent too.
Started watching on TV, but screening is random and hasn't been shown for about a year. So, bought the box set and well now enjoy as and when we want. Essential Montalbano
If you like the series and can get on with subtitles then this is a great 6 disc set (series 1 and 2). I enjoyed the original Montalbano series and was pleased when I discovered that a prequel series had been made. I would hope that further series might be made but nothing has happened so far. This detective series is compulsive viewing. I began with the later Montalbano dvd box set and was despairing when it was coming towards an end. Then I found the 'Younger' series. The only pity is that I haven't seen it chronologically. However, I'd highly recommend others to purchase both and start from the start.
