The 1500 watt POWER TAKE-OFF SOCKET allows other power tools to be attached for added convenience. For normal Vacuuming - Switch to position 1. When using with a Power Tool. Switch to position 2, the vacuum will start up a few seconds AFTER you switch On the power tool, and then will Run On for 8 seconds after you stop the Power Tool.

Powerfull suction
All good but sadly can't be 5 stars, the change over switch (ie switch on / switch to power output socket) isn't as big or as easy to use as my last vacuum and there is a delay on vacuum start up after I start my table saw, so by the time the suction is going I've made the cut! Only little things, and had this been my first unit with "power takeoff socket" I wouldn't have know any different.
