Crystal deodorant works well
I had trouble with clogged pores and painful swelling from antiperspirant/deodorant so I switched to deodorant-only products such at Tom's of Maine. I also tried the crystal deodorant in liquid form. I did not get clogged pores with these but I did not think they controlled odor sufficiently. Then I tried the crystal deodorant in solid form and was very pleased. It controls odor well and leaves no residue on clothing or skin. It lasts a LONG time and is a good value. Directions say to wet the tip of the salt crystal before applying it, but I found this to be messy. I prefer to wet the area of skin I will apply it to instead. Also, make sure not to drop it or pieces might chip off and you will have an uncomfortable jagged surface to rub against your skin. I recommend this. NOT PRACTICAL AT ALL1
I am allergic to it as it makes my underarm area itch. Having to 'wet' the stick each time to use it is also ridiculous. It should be made as all other sticks or roller ball deodorants and just take off the cap and use. It's just not practical. I will still keep it and use it on larger areas on my body when summer comes and I perspire more, but not for after shower use, I will just stick to the Crystal Roll On deodorant that is fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works Great
I have actually been using this product for quite some time and just purchased again because I dropped and broke mine. It works great to control orders rather than covering them up like the old deodorant sticks I used to use and I like the fact that there are no man-made chemicals. I haven't started using these particular sticks yet, but they appear to be the same brand and quality that I have used for years. In general, this deodorant works very well for me. I have eliminated some of the complaints about these sticks by just splashing some water on my underarms and then applying the deodorant. That eliminates problems caused by water running down the stick and causing a clogging of the adjustment slots on the plastic holder, or melting down of the ring in the base of the stick which helps keep it in the holder. I am going to put a date on the next stick I use, to see how many years it lasts. These sticks last a long time!
