Slightly disappointing
Is a very sturdy difficult-to-fit unit, a 2 man job, the last one I purchased had a frame on either side to keep the pannier bags from fowling the wheels this did not which is why I have not given a good value rating.

Pretty crap really.
Very awkward to fit. It took me over 2 hours. Very fiddly, & too much plastic on it for the money. Thule really can do a lot better. It should be all aluminium for the price. Then it would be stronger & able to carry more weight. You need to buy the side panels aswell, if your going to use bags, & they're also mostly plastic. Pretty crap really. I swapped mine out for a cheap steel Chinese one that cost less than £10.

Brilliant rack.
This rack is so good if you want an occasional rack for bike trekking especially for a MTB. Easy and quick to fit once you have fitted it the first time and you then know what you are doing. Light yet sturdy.

Awkward to fit & plastic.
Fitting is very awkward & time consuming. You need 4 hands & it still takes over an hour. It's also over-priced for what it is. I can't see it taking many knocks. Lots of plastic.

You can put a price on function and Reliability
Just finished and off road tour bike handled very well no slippage from rack but you need clear tape on bags where magnets sit to stop wear overall I’m very impressed with my rack and the bags I had it mounted up front on mtb suspension forks
