  • It's not a load of Cobras!

More sitars, more synths but less vocals! Cobras and Fire is a fusion of all that is great about Monster Magnet except in one track. Don't get me wrong I love the whole album, even the track that I think they messed up on by leaving out the vocal track, "Time Machine". The lyrics to the original version of "Time Machine" are so gorgeous that they could have been written by a Bard! The title track, a re-do of "Hallucination Bomb", has been slowed down, like most of the album, and has been "enhanced" by it's treatment. All in all this is a sensitive redux and is worthy of a place in any rocker's collection!

  • Monster Rock !

Love this bands music both in the flesh live and on CD , their studio recordings are top quality for this type of heavy rock so if you like Hawkwind and Black Sabbath its well worth a listen as they draw on this pathway ! Having said that they are even better than both these bands in some ways ! A very good album indeed Top Band !
