  • It is Region Free not Region A as stated

The most significant improvement with the blu ray is the sound quality - pretty important with a musical! The picture is rather soft on the distance shots but need not distract from the enjoyment of a great performance. The blu ray of Oklahoma is significantly superior however.

  • Enjoyable oldie and bigger than the DVD

Disc one is Letterbox with 5.1 sound and a few extras Disc two is full screen - looks like the letterbox with extra imagry top and bottom - (you can see more) the sound is 2 x mono but sounds fine just out of the two main speakers. The Picture quality is not in the same league as the Blu ray of Where Eagles dare (really sharp) But enjoyable non the less. Still better than the original DVD - much bigger picture.

  • A lively feel good movie if you like old musicals and I do

For the dancing alone its worth seeing and the songs are pretty good too.
