About this product

Product Information

Desperately searching for a fresh start, Richter Boudreau (Eric Stoltz) returns to his hometown of Tulsa and his rich society mother (Mary Tyler Moore). However, she is fed up with his irresponsible ways and refuses to help him out. With nowhere else to go, Richter stays in Tulsa while he figures out his next move and bumps into his sultry former sweetheart, Vicky (Deborah Kara Unger). Vicky is unhappily married to Ronnie (James Spader), an arrogant, untidy, drug-abusing layabout whose mood switches from spaced out and sedate to dangerously angry with alarming regularity. Richter owes Ronnie money - money he doesn't have - so he is forced to become a pawn in a plot to blackmail the richest man in town (James Coburn). A stripper friend of Ronnie's (Joanna Going) witnessed the murder of a prostitute and the killer (Marco Perella) happens to be the son of the town's most powerful man. Richter is trapped in a dangerous situation and there's only one way out...
