IMO this game is as good as gets on the Wii. Great graphics for the system and time, great use of the Wii motion controls, and of course the story is amazing. If you are a Zelda fan, play this game. Easily in the top 5 Legend of Zelda games.

Everything is fine with the game but this did not include the anniversary music CD like it is titled in the listing. Still happy with my purchase but wish it came with the soundtrack. I love music.

Game was for another country, but works in USA Wii and is all in English (as description stated), so no worries. Game is awesome. Not too hard, not too easy; just as I would have expected from a Zelda game! The motion controls do take a little getting use to, but playing other Wii motion plus games helps. Just make sure you have your setting right for your distance to your screen. It helps a lot! Just goes to show, just because a lot of people don't like something, doesn't always mean it's bad; just not what they expected or wanted.

It's a great game. Puzzles are plenty and quest/objectives are laid out fairly well. It's not too scary for my young son to watch while I play. Some of the usual later Zelda game problems are still persistent while they did take care of others. They can't seem find a balance between showing the grand scale of the playable world without making it a pain to travel from one end to the other. Auto travel or way-points or warp would be great. In a lot of ways there aren't enough monsters. It seems too sparse and open. I'm glad they fixed the fairy annoyance issues, the lame songs, and objective tracking through reminders and their radar like seeking mechanic but it just comes up short in a lot of ways and I wonder how much actual time is spent waiting through mini cut scenes every time you open a door or chest. That being said, it's still Zelda. It's still has some interesting challenges and it's still worth buying to play through.Read full review
Good game so far! I'm about 3/4 of the way through. The controls were a bit wonky at first, but once you get the hang of it a lot of fun can be had. Good story with memorable characters. Can't wait for breath of the wild! Gonna be twice as epic!

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword is the game that marked the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series. This game has been both praised and criticized but overall a wonderful game. The game is said to have taken place before all the events of The Legend of Zelda games, starting the timeline that would be under scrutiny by many fans and theorists alike. The control scheme is very easy to follow once the player squeezes in some time to practice. The Wii remote acts like the sword and the nunchaku as the shield, and the combat system relies on pinpoint accuracy to strike a target with the sword and shield, not just swinging aimlessly or at random. There are also many points in the game to fly across Hyrule's skies with the bird known as a Loftwing. Multiple side quests also make this game a joy to play and never gets boring. And the enemy AI is smart so it will counter every sword swing and parry. One of the game's downsides is that the controls for the Wii remote and nunchaku can glitch out, sometimes removing and reconnecting each other could solve it temporarily. Also constant adjustment for the Wii remote's field of operation can cause certain motions to be misread. Overall, the game is a wonderful masterpiece and it is a game not to be missed by any fan of The Legend of Zelda series or any video game fan. The story is also a compelling one to the point where tears are shed. At the right price, this game can grace any gamer's game archive, and it can help to get in the swing of things.Read full review

I bought the game because I had always been a fan of it. I've been playing "Legend of Zelda" ever since I was a little girl; and I continue to support it and play it as long as it exist. I love the game, the story was really good all though I'm not totally finish with the game. The two things that they could done better was the graphic and the dialog. I they could have the character talk instead of having to read, it would of been great. Because I have kids that also wants to play too, that was not able to play because they couldn't read. If I was to compare this "Skyward Sword" to "Twilight Princess" I would say that this version was made much more for younger kids, age 8 to 10. This video game was a lot easier to play compared to "Twilight Princess." Plus you can till my the graphic that it was more design for younger kids. So in conclusion, this version of Zelda does have it's value in it too. Older kids may say "It's not as good," "It's too easy", "Or the graphic is not enough" but, for the younger kids, it's the right kind of game. I highly recommend it to any parents out there that would like to purchase a "Legend of Zelda" video game for the children. It's an awesome game and they would enjoy it.Read full review
I’m an avid Legend of Zelda fan, but I had never played Skyward Sword before. My boyfriend and I just started it last night and the game works perfectly and is really great so far!

A lot of people knock on Skyward Sword, but I found it to be a very well done game with a lot to come back to. The presentation is by far the finest in the series with a impressionistic touch that works even though the Wii might feel underpowered compared to the other 7th gen consoles. The music is fantastic. The gameplay takes less of a hack and slash approach and requires players to move slower and read enemy patterns while using the Wii Remote's new motion plus feature for 1-to-1 movement. There are great puzzles scattered throughout the game, and the dungeons are truly first rate. Please, don't let the motion controls push you away. Take the time to set things up properly in the console menu (calibrate the sensors), and I promise you will enjoy Skyward Sword. Oh, and the story's great!

In today’s shoot to kill world, Zelda is great, as it challenges the mind a little bit. Yes there is violence, but its balanced with skill. The music is great.
