Just right size
The balls are well made and hold up well to teeth marks. The only problem is the squeaker will dislodge fairly easily and fall inside the ball, making it a "non squeak" toy. If your dog is gentle it won't be a problem but if your dog likes to chew, you'll end up with a non squeak toy. Boston Terrier vs new toys (JW balls)
First off, dog loves the balls, but then again he loves all his toys. I can tell you it took him less the 15 minutes to have the squeaker part torn apart and pushed inside the balls. Now they just rattle. Makes no difference to him but he is still trying to find a way to get it out of the ball. He will succeed in time, as he takes it personal when he can't get them out of the balls. This is a tough little toy but not indestructible for a 20 pound Boston Terrier. I would recommend this toy to anyone wanting a tough toy for their dog but realize the squeaker part can be disabled by the dog in all of them in less the 15 minutes. So far the only ball he has not got the squeaker out of is one made by a different mfg. that has the squeaky ball inside a second ball, but this makes it to big for our dogs mouth so this ball for now will have to do. If my $11 purchase last more then 3 months I'll be more then happy!!!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Puppy Love
After purchasing several types of squeak balls for my petite Goldendoodle, I realized that the quality and longevity of the balls depend upon the size of the dogs mouth and the strength of their teeth. At the beach, fetching was not as much fun for her because the small tennis type balls gathered too much sand and carrying them out of the surf she swallowed the sand and choked. She also liked to chew the cover off and often swallowed that. The size and strength of the JW balls prove themselves to be accurate and long-lasting. They are colorful and easy to find on the sand, in the water and on the grass. I have convinced many dog owners that these balls are best for the dog.
