Great product, so-so user interface
I've been a Fitbit user for many years and previously used another version before changing to the ONE. First impressions are good. The battery life is amazing compared to my other (earlier) Fitbit's. The carrier (holster/clip) is also superior to the earlier versions. One thing that the company still hasn't figured out is the user interface. I find it not at all intuitive, and the directions weak at best. The 'go-to' answer from the company is now, and always has been "go to the community boards for help". Read that: we don't want to be bothered with hiring a good tech writer or do any usability tests, we'll just let them Google it" OK, that is a little harsh, but so is the experience in setting up my new Fitbit as was my experience when new OS's were released and the FB software struggled to keep up. Great fitbit, so hard to find one that works now that it's been discontinued
I love the Fitbit One. It is small and can be put in your pocket so your fitness is monitored discreetly. I do not like fitness watches so this model completely meets my needs. So., why only 3 stars? It is getting increasingly difficult to find a replacement Fitbit One that works. I've purchased two on eBay so far that haven't worked. So as the Fitbit Ones out in the community get older, the batteries are starting to die and are not easy to replace. So keep that in mind as you shop for Fitbit Ones on eBay - be sure to select ones that have been tested, have a battery replaced already, or can be returned.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Love this Fitbit
I did not want to wear a Fitbit in lieu of my watch so I opted for the Fitbit One and am really glad I did. It measures slightly less than 2-1/2 inches, in the clip. It can be comfortably worn clipped to (in my case) a bra or clipped to your pants pocket or waistband. I clip it on and forget about it. All activity is tracked and stored on their website, it is so easy. If you, don't to wear the wrist band this is an excellent choice. I love it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

She gave up too soon!
As a refurbished product with a fabulous price tag, this is just like brand new. The box is even undamaged! Synchs up without a hitch to phone or computer. I just wonder about the woman who climbed 30 flights of stairs and walked 7,347 steps before me. I think she gave up too soon! I am happy to own it! It's fun. I have not activated the "friends" and friendly competition bits or tracking my food and weight. I just wanted a teeny little reminder to get out of my chair before I get too old to do so. Love it!
I upgraded from a Fitbit Zip. The sleep feature is great. The sleep cuff is slim and comfortable. During waking hours I wear it on my bra so it's discreet. I love the challenges and the notifications. Great motivator! The alarm if you use it can be put on vibrate so it is not loud. Best One for simple tracking
It might not have all the features of the larger more expensive units. It tracks activity and sleep perfectly and you will never notice it on you. I wanted to avoid having to wear something on my wrist all the time, and this worked out perfectly. I clip it on the inside of a pocket in the morning and forget about it. I love my fitbit.
I used to think that these were unnecessary but this is a great way of tracking your activity. I bought this to use in conjunction with the app My Fitness Pal and between the two, I have been successful in losing weight. This motivates me to go out and walk to get my 10,000 steps when I have time and the weather is not too brutal out. There is an app that comes with it and there is a community to answer any question you might have. This one is a lot more accurate than the wrist worn ones as I can move my arms washing my hands and it counts that action as steps. This one also uses an altimeter to track flights of steps.
