Wonderful colored pencils
I recently joined the many people who have taken up "adult coloring" as a relaxing & fun hobby. I started out using Crayola colored pencils & had OK results, I thought. Then I started reading up on different techniques, like grayscale coloring, & researched different brands of colored pencils. Prismacolor were among the highest rated & the most affordable of the top-of-the-line brands. I was having so much fun coloring that I decided to go ahead & order the 36 pencil set of Prismacolors. The difference between my old pencils & the Prismacolor pencils is like night & day! I really don't know that much about how these products are made, but apparently Prismacolor Premier pencils have a much softer core than the cheaper brands. This makes the colors much easier to apply, with a nice creamy feel, and they are also much easier to blend. Grayscale coloring sheets are not just black & white - they are all shades of gray. With the Prismacolor pencils, it is easy to apply multiple layers of complementary colors & the end result looks almost like an oil painting. My next splurge will be the 72 color set & my dream after that will be the ultimate 150 color set! I highly recommend these pencils!

In my opinion - the BEST of the BEST pencils
I also have the Prismacolor Verithin and Prismacolor Scholar pencils as well. I find a need for all of them. One good thing, is that color naming is pretty much the same, across all colored pencil types from Prismacolor. This comes in handy when you are needing thin pencil coloring, versus the thicker and bolder coloring. These PREMIER pencils seem to have stronger lead in them, than the Scholar pencils.
