Great Leather Dressing
My father 30 years ago introduced me to Pecard Leather Dressing and I have been using it since. It is perfect not only for protecting leather but restoring it as well. Case in point: I had a old Ka-Bar combat blade with stacked leather handles that were degrading for one reason or another. The handle was loose and was appearing to be falling apart. I had applied Pecard leather dressing to it and it sucked up the moisture and filled out within the next few hours. Now the handle it actually solid and is almost like a brand new blade. I just bought my wife an old medieval looking chest with leather attached to it and used the Pecard on it. The leather looks great and will last another 40 + years for sure. I apply it to all my leather sheaths that I make as well as any for knives that I purchase whether it is a brand new item like the BlackJack 1-7 blade I recently got or something older. I admit I have never tried the antique stuff but the regular leather dressing is awesome. Remember, in almost all cases a little will do ya. Amazing Product!
I had an antique leather chair and ottoman that were caught in a flooded basement. I dried the leather out after removing the stuffing. I inserted new stuffing and applied The Pecard conditioner/restorer, and the difference is amazing! The leather on the ottoman was a little brittle and I was worried that it would crack all the way through. I have used two applications of this product and it is softer and more supple already. Works beautifully !
I slathered that stuff on generously with my finger tips and let it really do it's restoring overnight. It brought back the supple into these dry hard sections on a couple of clutches and leather travel bag. I have been using Pecard Leather Dressing for well over 18 years and it is absolutely the best cleaner and waterproofing product for leather goods that I have ever seen, tried and used.
