Rarely use it.
If you can't manually sharpen your knives, you could damage them if this grinder is used improperly. Strongly suggest you use it on cheap knives first and once you're proficient and can get the knife/ves shaving sharp, then move to your expensive knives. Best knife sharpener I have owned
