Excellent product - use with confidence
An excellent rust remover that is non-toxic. It may require several attempts for heavy rust, sanding in between with 80 grit or similar, but it leaves clean metal and does not affect paint. Best brushed on as a layer a few mm thick, and covered by clingfilm for a couple of days, then rinse off with water. Repeat if necessary. I've used the Belt Hamber range for some years, and always found it excellent. A highly recommended rust remover.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It works
Bought this to treat the rust on my old transporter van. The wheel arches were quite bad so I removed the paint and got down to the bear metal to reveal the rust. I painted it on nice and thick and covered it in clingfilm which was abit of a tricky job as it was windy that day, left it for 6 hours and could see it had started to work as the apple sauce coloured gel was going brown with a white outline. I decided to leave it on for 24 hours to give it the best chance. I removed the clingfilm the next day and rubbed the rusty areas with a wire brush then washed off with warm soapy water. I was amazed that all but the biggest patches of rust were gone and in its place was clean metal. I repeated the process on the remaining rust spots and this time it was all gone, just left with pitted clean metal. Really is good stuff that works just takes a while, I'd quite happily buy more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
