This gigabyte range is getting a bit past it now bot for the price it performs well, it has SATA 3 and USB 3.0 so it has a good specification but the DDR3 is old spec really.

This motherboard provides hugely stable lightning fast windows xp operation. It takes Intel socket 1366 chips, but these chips are amongst the most powerful currently available. Only one word of caution. Don't thrash a racehorse too hard. Don't try to over-clock this board to the outer edge of the envelope. If you do, and then try and play demanding games such as world of warcraft, you will have stability problems. Much better to let the innate power of this motherboard and intel chip configuration stroll rather than sprint. Because if you avoid over-clocking it too much, you will have an incredibly fast fabulously stable machine. They are rock solid if you don't overdo the over-clocking. I liked my first Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 so much I bought a second one to make a PC for a friend. All in all, motherboards don't get much better than this, and motherboard manufacturers don't get any better than Gigabyte. Great build quality and mostly sensible layout. Make sure you get or have sata dvd drives if you havent already, the IDE connector placement is daft as drapes IDE cables over GFX coolers
