Great taste and texture.
I have been asked to write this review before my kimchi has finished fermenting so am unable to review a final result with it. Not given enough time to use it. However, having dipped my finger to taste it is not a hot ngredient for my palate but it certainly has a yummy and interesting taste ! Spicy and sort of fruity with undertones which I cannot identify. It is good soft medium texture which blended perfectly with other ingredients in my food processor. Does was it says on the bag...
It took a while to get here but that was down to Royal Mail and black Friday post. I was sceptical as the chilli pepper came in a plastic sealed bag with a label on it (repackaged from bulk) but I have made my first batch of kimchi and it tastes great so it must be an authentic product. small packet but fresh

Disappointingly bland
While I didn't expect it to be as the fiery as hot chili powder, I found it surprisingly and disappointingly bland. Licking my finger and cautiously dipping it into the powder and tasting it got nothing! Some mild flavour but no heat at all. A few more dips got a slight heat which made me wonder.
