Great upgrade if coming from a Celeron
I upgraded the Celeron 585 in an old Toshiba Walmart special laptop and was genuinely surprised at the performance improvement. I have been building computers since the late 80's and sometimes surprises can still happen. This was one of those times. I paid $15 for this CPU, and its probably the best little upgrade, not counting the SSD of course that this laptop has ever had. Speed up a Toshiba L300D
Bought this to replace a T3200 2.0Ghz 800mhz cpu in in my ageing Toshiba L300D. Simple straightforward replacement, (if you call dismantling a laptop simple....). You must remember to clean off old thermal paste, and apply new arctic silver preferably. Anyway the Tosh is now running at 2.5Ghz with better cache performance, but a little hotter at 45-60 degrees, so keep the fan clean and operating full blast!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
