Paper tray was missing, but I still had my broken printer that I could use for parts. Other than that, pleased.

This is a great multifunctional printer including a wireless feature. The print quality is excellent. Print cartridges seem to be reasonably priced. It was easy to install and to operate. The only problem I have had is getting the fax to work with my ATT Uverse. I could either set rings on the printer so I could receive faxes, but then the fax would always come on in the middle of all calls. If I set it so the fax never comes on during a call, then I never receive faxes. Still looking into this problem.
First off, from all of the reviews that I had read prior to purchase I was not sure what to expect. I have only had this printer for a few days now and I can say that thus far it is the best printer that I have owned. The wireless feature (which was the most important factor for me) works flawlessly and was easy to set up after downloading the software for Windows 7(disk was outdated and not Windows 7 compatible) from HP's website. The printer is a bit noisy but not nearly as bad as my old Epson. As far as ink consumption, time will tell because we do not print all that much to begin with. For the price that I paid for this printer ($84.99) all I can say is that it was well worth it. In my opinion this printer is a home run.
This has got to be this biggest POS I have ever owned from HP. I've always had good results with HP faxes and printers, but this is the exception. I've had this one about 6 months, and have had nothing but problems with it. Let me explain: 1.) When feeding a document in to fax or copy it quite often fails to load correctly, requiring you to put it in and out several times until it senses a sucessful load. 2.)It has the uncanny ability to misfeed when faxing and crumple up your work and then jam. 3.) It constantly gives me a color cartridge error, which locks the machine up completely,I changed the cartridge, but still get same error. Can't use the machine unless you remove the cartridge all together. Machine is put together with cheap thin plastic parts, and it shows. It is clunky to use, and when in operation sounds like it's coming apart. The print is descent crisp and clean when it works. The wi fi feature does sink up easily and works well, but it's main feature of faxing and copying is horrendous so alot of good wi fi does. Do yourself a favor and stay away at any price!!Read full review
