I use this with a Portico 5017 and the sound is incredible. Females vocals sound "radio ready" immediately. Very little EQ needed. It's no where near the quality of a Sony C800G ($10k). But gorgeous in its own sense. So glad I have it in my collection. It's got weight, so make sure you have a good mic stand.

The mic sounds great! It cuts right through a mix and sounds warm and full on lead vocals and with a little equing, sounds fantastic on stacking background vocals as well. It was exactly what I needed to diversify my mic locker. It has a similar function to a U67 and sound great on vocals, strings, and guitar. Great higher end budget mic! It is now my new favorite mic for vox and acoustic guitar. If you're looking in the $1000 price range, you can't find a better deal/quality sound ratio. The shockmount is very humble and almost cheap feeling but surprisingly sturdy. The mic is simple, sleek, and functional with absolutely no bells and whistles. (highpass, pad, etc...) The mic is great for picking up breath and nuance for a confident singer.
I recently produced a session in Nashville with a female singer/songwriter, and when it came time to track funal vocals, the assistant engineer put up three mics for a blind shootout. A Neumann U 87, a vintage C 12 and the Mojave. Unbelievable warmth and clarity from this mic. Needless to say, I bought one the following week.

This microphone is pure butter. I have been using a neumann tlm 103 running through my avalon preamp. I needed a warmer smoother mic and man this mic is the ticket. It's amazing on female and male vocals alike. Don't think about this one....just buy it. It's that good
