Almost Perfect
I was looking for a 2nd coffee maker to brew decaf grinds while our primary one brews regular coffee. I am very pleased with this coffee maker. The design is great. I can fit a 6" mug under it with no problem and I like the idea of being able to put more than one cup of water in it and see the level. I like small footprints in my kitchen and this has a small one in terms of width and depth. It brew relatively quickly and is very easy to use. The workmanship is very nice. There is no cheapness about this product. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to two 'annoyances'. First, it is loud! It's not going to wake someone up if their bedroom is right next to the kitchen but your head will pop up from reading your email or paper to see what it's all about if you are sitting in the kitchen. The sound is more surprising than it is disturbing, and I guess you could say a good thing is that you know when your coffee is done brewing :) The 2nd annoyance is that I want to keep the coffee maker plugged in when not in use as I want to keep it in front of my outlet to hide it. But if you leave it plugged in when not in use the red power light flashes continuously. It's quite annoying. Why can't they have it just a solid red when the power is on, and flash when it is brewing? You can lift the metal handle up which holds the coffee and the light will turn solid, but it doesn't look good when you do that. So except for those two things, it is an excellent coffee maker. I did a lot of research and feel I got the best one out there for my purposes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good replacement
Bought it as a replacement for one after years of faithful heavy duty. Am very sorry to see it is being discontinued. Being able to brew one cup of my favorite freshly ground beans is so convenient and no pods to throw away and fill the garbage.
