Additional InformationClive Owen and Naomi Watts star in RUN LOLA RUN director Tom Tykwer's action thriller concerning an ambitious Interpol agent who targets corruption at the top levels of the world's largest banking institutions. The world's most powerful banks have become hopelessly corrupt, prompting Interpol agent Louis Salinger (Owen) and Manhattan assistant district attorney Eleanor Whitman (Watts) to follow a dangerous money trail from Berlin to Milan to New York and Istanbul. But as determined as Agent Salinger and ADA Whitman are to ensure that justice is served, their targets are equally determined to ensure that war and terror continue to propagate so the powers that be can continue to profit. John Woo, Terence Chang, and Jeff Lurie executive produced the film, which was penned by emerging screenwriter Eric Warren Singer.

  • International by name. International by nature.

A very good film and storyline. Not yiur average typre of action film as this touched on a subject not often touched. Clive Owen is excellent in this film, maybe England's best actor? Highly recommended.

  • Well worth a watch

Based on the real life BCCI banking corruption scandal, this is a well paced cerebral conspiracy thriller that has plenty of appropriate action sequences too. The Guggenheim shootout is outstanding whilst the cynical newspaper headlines that roll with the end credits remind us that international banking corruption remains endemic and continues to this very day.

  • Good quality DVD and great for political thriller fans

Good quality DVD at a good price. The International is a great film for fans of political conspiracy thrillers, as I am. Unlike some political thrillers, it has a more realistic twist.

  • Piece of cardboard

My bad for not understanding that this is literally the cardboard slip a dvd case slides into. For nearly £4. I just bought the actual dvd in a plastic case for 50p less. It didn't occur to me that someone would actually sell a piece of cardboard. Touché for having the gall.
