About this product

Product Information

A pre-CRACKER Robbie Coltrane was the main attraction in the British comedy-drama series TUTTI FRUITTI. The plot was set in motion when a Scottish singing group called the Majestics, hailed as "the Kings of Rock," embarked upon their 25th anniversary tour. Alas, lead singer Big Jazza McGlone had the bad luck and poor timing to drop dead just as the tour began. In desperation, the Majestics hired Big Jazza's portly and uncharismatic kid brother Danny (Robbie Coltrane) to take his place. The series was distinguished by its renditions of classic rock tunes, with Coltrane's singing a revelation. Also in the cast was a young Emma Thompson, whose performance herein earned her a BAFTA Best Actress award.

  • Very apt

I watched this on TV yesrs ago and thought it very entertaining and when I was talking to my son about the work Robbie Coltrane had done (as he only knew anout him playing Hagrid in Harry Potter ) I bought it for him to watch. The acting by all actors is good too even he agrees

  • Not aged well

Not really aged well (1987) and I struggled as much with Scottish accents as I did first time round!
