Don't pay more than 5 bucks for this one. Good time waster for an evening
A serial killer calling himself "The Cusp" murders his victims and then revives them, until they beg to die. His first victim, psychic investigator Maya Casteneda (Tessie Santiago), survives and is bent on revenge. After she is tapped by the FBI, Maya realizes the only way to locate The Cusp is by entering his mind. But if she dies there, she will also die in real life. Also stars (Chris Bruno) as Sheriff Harris. Having said that, this movie is very loosely based on a couple elements of the original. Both star roles are Hispanic. Strong women. Both villains are bad. That's about where the resemblance ends. The actors are pretty cheesy, but so is the script. The effects are about like a low budget TV show. But the funny part is, this movie is entertaining. If you don't expect a true sequel to the Cell, and don't mind cheesy acting and low budget effects, the story line moves along pretty good for a little movie. You can find this brand new for pretty cheap here on the 'bay. Try it out and don't expect much, and you'll be mildly entertained.
