As a Glaswegian, and having lived through that era, I find it true to life at that time. I remember the part where reference is made to the washing's fluttering in the summer wins in the Glasgow Green, a part of Glasgow I walked through many many times as a school boy and even up to adult hood. It depicts true life in Glasgow, but the introduction of the bag wash shops and then the introduction of the individual washing machines that killed off the Steamie, sad to say. They were great meeting places for the local women. This film is very true indeed, and I throughly enjoy it.. Coin H Stewart.
