What can you say its a CD. I like a oouple of her hits and find the whole CD quite listenable. No dislikes and can't complain. I suppose I could have downloaded it but I prefer to physically own things, no virtual. I can play in car as well as various CD players about the house. Enjoy
I have heard the majority of the tracks on 'Turn It Up'. The overall standard is really quite incredible. It's now so rare that a big pop album doesn't contain five or six fillers, and this contains none. Obviously this album has been very well put together, and because it's taken three or four years to complete, it seems there is a real magic about each and every song. The mix of tracks means that this album will spawn hit after hit as well as making any listener fall in love with Pixie's smoky and soulful but still fresh and powerful voice. 'Mama Do' is without a doubt the worst song on the album. Although it got to number one, it's certainly not a good relfection of Pixie's creativity and vocal ability. Despite this, it's a very catchy track! 'Cry Me Out' is a real belter with an epic chorus - definitely one for the more mature fans, as well as the heart broken teens! 'Here We Go Again' is a thumping party track to sing along to in the car, when in the shower and when getting ready for a night out! The real highlights, however, are 'Turn It Up', 'My Love' and 'Gravity'. Three songs that will dominate charts in the coming months. You will instantly fall in love with any one of them, I promise! I'm really looking forward to hearing 'The Way The World Works' and 'Nothing Compares' in full. I'm sure they will complete the best female album of 2009! Pixie could be big purely on her voice and looks, but with songs like these - she's going to be a superstar.Read full review
I'd heard a few of the singles from this CD and liked them so I decided to purchase a copy of the album to find out what the other stuff was like. I wasn't disappointed - it's full of catchy tunes which make you want to do as the title suggests . . . Turn It Up! All in all a fantastic poppy debut from a brilliant new talent.
This is a great album - up beat, fun and catchy. Pixie Lott's voice is great! All the songs are good - no fillers or rubbish. I wish they had included the session she did in radio one's live lounge. A overall great pop album that will lift your spirits and have you singing along in the car. Definetly recommended!
An interesting album from Pixie including hit tracks and some that dont really work for me. All about taste I guess so if you like Pixie Lott and why wouldnt you then you will like the album, but save judgement til you have listned to it a few times and then see how often you play it. It is a good album, but by no means a classic. Pixie will make albums for a while because of her stunnning tone and we will all listen to them with interest, and I hope they will improve as Pixie does
