24 volt lead acid batter charger
I bought this to replace a "more expensive" item that had literally blown up! This charger has the advantage of displaying a "charging" mode & a "run" mode for when the battery is fully charged. In the "run" it maintains a "trickle charge" rate that maintains the battery but doesn't over charge the battery. But, take my advice and regardless of the price / quality of your charger NEVER leave batteries on charge for prolonged periods of time, ie several days.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Overcharges smaller batteries.
No instructions, even online.....will charge 24 volt SLA batteries at 1.5 amps, as promised....but will overcharge and overheat smaller batteries (4.5Ah) if left untended,,,,the "automatic" function of the two red or green lights is very dodgy, and excess voltage/current flows into the battery even when charge is full. This will not harm larger batteries on mobility scooters or HGV vehicles, but will overheat and kill off smaller batteries used in Flymo hedgecutters and some e-scooters if left on overnight. Should be treated as a MANUAL battery charger, and not left unattended. Worryingly, this Chinese charger comes WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS, and specifications/instructions online are not freely available.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

CHEAP AND IT WORKS
