Created by actor Seth Green (AUSTIN POWERS, FAMILY GUY, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) and ToyFare editor Matthew Senreich (the two met and bonded over their mutual love for action figures and collectible figurines), the Cartoon Network show uses stop-action animation and a host of dolls and action-figures to perform outrageous send-ups of television, film, and postmodern America. A collection of hilarious episodes, all based on different toys and action figures from our childhood, a mixture of Family Guy and South Park style humour, Robot Chicken is another fine example of modern comedy. This series is a hybrid between Monty Python and Family Guy in style, carrying a cast of excellent comedians and reminders of our own childhood through the use of toys. Like most comedy’s, the whole thing gets funnier as the series progresses, this three series boxset slowly goes from a giggle, all the way to side splitting laughter, the only question is can you handle the comedy. Really Bonkers 😁
I first saw this show when it was linked to Rick and Morty amongst other Adult Swim shows but this one really caught my attention. Fur stop/start animation it really packs a punch and the creators really get away with some of their scenes which if it was live action I'd say the show would be banned. But hey...... Before buying this I'd check it out on TV or download a episode on YouTube.... I will guarantee if your like me and love stop/start animation you'll love Robot Chicken.... Funny, taking the mick out of popular culture and characters.
