The Hurt Locker has had massive praise for its realism depicting modern warfare through the experiences of a bomb disposal unit in war torn Iraq. I just didn't connect with it. The problem being, I had already watched and loved Generation Kill, the HBO miniseries. They both seem to cover the same ground: showing the mighty US army in a less than glorious light. Accident prone, indecisive or even as victims of poor decision making. For me, Generation Kill did it better. Admittedly, over a longer time on screen. Watch The Hurt Locker anyway and make up your mind.
One of my favourite Jeremy Renner films. The relationship between the main characters was well acted and believable. I bought this as used and played fine with no problems
