The Intel DG31PR motherboard, or MOBO, from the Intel Corporation can let your PC run at maximum power. Take one glance at the specifications of this Intel MOBO and you can see why it's a favorite among gamers and designers. This MOBO is supported by an array of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.The BIOS in this Windows XP Intel MOBO can allow you to suspend your work to the RAM when you're away. The BIOS also supports Plug and Play functionality. This functionality can let this desktop Intel motherboard detect any hardware plugged into it. For example, you can instantly use a mouse the moment you plug it in instead of needing to search for drivers. The BIOS also allows you to upgrade it.This Intel motherboard contains a range of features designed to keep your desktop PC safe from harm. The DG31PR has a voltage sensor to detect when your voltage readings are too high. When this MOBO detects a high voltage, it will stop you from powering on your desktop PC. This Intel MOBO also has a thermal sensor as well. This thermal sensor monitors the temperatures of both the board and any components plugged into it. When the temperature of your desktop PC rises to an unsafe amount, the board will shut off. This sudden shutdown can save your Intel product and the connected components from permanent harm. The fan headers allow you to attach a total of three internal fans to your desktop computer. This board also includes three sensors, one for each fan. These sensors allow you to monitor the rate at which your fans are blowing.Like most Intel boards, this MOBO supports a broad array of Intel Core LGA775 processors. Some of the supported CPUs include the Core 2 Duo processor and the Core 2 Quad CPU. This Windows XP MOBO uses the Intel G31 chipset. This product features two 240 pin DDR2 memory sockets. The product can support up to a maximum of 4GB of RAM inserted into it at one time. Both the DDR2 800 and DDR2 667 RAM types are supported in each socket. Like all motherboards, this product includes an RJ-45 LAN connector. The Realtek RTL8111-GR Gigabit Ethernet Controller can ensure that your desktop is getting a high level of internet speed that satisfies your needs.Unlike other motherboards, this product has a graphics card built directly into the hardware. However, if you want a standalone graphics card for gaming, this product has four PCI slots available. Along with built in graphics, this MOBO also has integrated audio as well. The Realtek ALC888 Audio Codec provides rich 5.1 surround sound.Like other available boards, this product has USB ports built directly into it. This MOBO features eight USB 2.0 ports on the back along with connections for your keyboard and mouse. Originally included with this product is both a manual and a software disc for your desktop. Be wary of some processors not fully working all cores, might be my processor though.
My processor only runs 3 cores on SW Processor mode enabled, if I disable it on the bios the entire system lags with 4 cores on, the bios runs slow and I believe I have to reinstall Windows to use the iflash utility with a USB, not sure how to fix the problem, already tried taking out the CMOS battery and pushing the power button for a minute while unplugged, and disabling SW processor mode just makes the system lag. Would consider another board but running my processor on 3 cores is fine for almost all tasks, just a bit of lag sometimes, if you get this board, make sure you get a q9550 or q9650 to make up for the lost core, or try to figure out a way to run them all without it lagging. I'll prolly reinstall Windows and try to reflash the bios and see if it fixes it, otherwise I think it's my cpu that doesn't work properly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not what I ordered.
Look closely at the picture. The motherboard I ordered has six audio I/O connections. The motherboard I received has only three. Also it took eight days to arrive. I'm blaming that on FedEx. Other than that it was still a great bargain. The board works fine except for the audio-in connection. I get nothing. I installed an audio card and it works fine. To use my headphones I have to unplug the speakers and plug in my headphones. If I had received the motherboard in the picture I could have had surround sound. The Best of a Generation
I've recently built 2 PC's with the DG31PR MB from Intel. Couple this MB with an Intel E8400 CPU and 4GB of PC2-6400 RAM, a Solid-State Hard Drive and a decent video card and you get a screaming machine that will rival some i5-equipped computers at a fraction of the cost. I love that it has temperature sensors on the CPU, NorthBridge and SouthBridge - and the E6400 runs cool with just the stock HSF assembly. Intel has all of the needed drivers for all of the operating systems - at least through Windows 7. (Not all legacy Intel MB's have Windows 7 drivers - be careful!) Intel doesn't provide overclocking capability, but if you want a rock-solid machine on a budget - the DG31PR is a great place to start!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good replacement
Put it in my main PC because the mobo broke and so I got this. Popped it in and has been working great with a max configuration of my q9650, 4gb 800mhz kingston ram, and my gtx 580.
