For LGA771 modders
The motherboard I was looking for, to use my Xeon E5450 LGA771. AMI BIOS is easy to update the Intel microcodes; even the Celeron 430 (10661) that I have runs smoothly, with the newer microcode than the one inside BIOS v1004. I now have a board with an actual 4-core processor in it, and by re-applying thermal compound on the northbridge chipset will hopefully prolong its lifespan. Get a P43 or P45-chipset board if you are looking for 'old' socket 775->771 that can still rock. This is definitely a technician's motherboard.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Refurbished Mother Board with great features
The ASUS mother board performs very well with Windows 10 Professional as well as with the components such as USB internet antenna (Cisco Linksys), Galaxy GT 610 video card and Intel Core 2 dual at 2.93 GHz, OCZ Gold Series DDR 2 memory and key board, vertical mouse. However, I had to replace the heat sink of the north bridge with another heat sink which consists of a fan attached to the aluminium block. Good board for a spare computer.
Good board. Works well. windows 7x64 loaded all drivers on install. Only thing I found was the connection for power light was 4 pin instead of normal 2 or 3 pin. Old MB went down
My old MB went down. This one was the exact same one. It works. It arrived before the date it was supposed to, and it works great. It’s old tech tho. As it is not new do not expect it to appear as new, and so not all the indicators are showing light - but it works! The bios shows the details as it should, and you can arrange all details the way that you expect it to be.
