ReviewsThere seem to be a lot of crafting books aimed at beginners - and it's wonderful to think that more people are being introduced to the joys of making things from fabric and thread. Even experienced crafters enjoy whipping up something relatively simple and straight forward from time to time. This book, however, is aimed fairly and squarely at quiltmakers who are looking for a challenge (although, even then, the publishers couldn't resist including the word easy on the front cover!). Myers provides instructions and full-size foundations for 16 paper-/foundation-pieced quilts using the pineapple, LeMoyne Star, Mariner's Compass and fan blocks. The quilts on the front cover is not one of the - it's only included as part of a gallery of Myers' quilts; it is, however, indiciative of the style of project included in the book.
