fantastic value
very pleased with product, however fitting instructions only come in picture form, and they show it being fitted as it arrives, hard work, much easier to remove ladder from frame, I am an experienced diy addict and found it really takes two to fit it, my wife and I are 65+ and managed to fit it ok, took us 5 hours as our opening was not square or the right size. DIY!
After recieving various quotes from companies ranging between 250- 500 to extend my hatch and fit a ladder. Buying a ladder and fitting it myself became more appealing at half the price of the lowest quote. I would consider myself a novice DIY'er. Im quite confident to take on any task. So i smashed up my existing hatch and cut it open to 58.2cm x 92.2cm and supported the joists in the loft around the hatch with some timber from B&Q. Ladder got delivered today and within a couple of hours its up and ready to use. I fitted it alone! I removed the springs and steps from the frame/ hatch and took it into the loft and lowered it down into position using the recommended method on the instructions. Few screws later its in. Then put the ladder back onto the frame/hatch and voila. Simple easy. Worth a shot if you feel confident in doing so. Great product. Well built. Ive just gotta put some plaster around it and some architrave! Very pleased.

Easy to install, but instructions are all pictograms would be better if written instructions were included to help those not in the trade or an experienced DIY’er. Pretty well manufactured for the price.
A well made and affordable solution. Easy for the average DIY'er to install. The ladder is strong and rigid and not at all rickerty. I managed to install the loft ladder and have it up and running in less than a day. I should have done this years ago.
