Barbara Flynn returns as Mrs Jamieson, whose aristocratic sister-in-law, Lady Glenmire , arrives and makes quite an impression on the friends. ItÆs August 1844 and one year since the small Cheshire market town celebrated the marriage of Sophy Hutton to Dr Harrison and Miss Matty lost her beloved sister, Deborah .

    A Top BBC Costume drama.

    A complete Cranford Collection Set consisting or 2 DVD Cases . 1st DVD Case contains 2 discs (7 Parts/Episodes) of Cranford and the 2nd DVD Case contains 1 disc (2 Parts/Episodes) of Return to Cranford. I assume Return to Cranford was not written by Elizabeth Gaskell but the BBC made up the story which was also very good to see new characters added. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Highly recommended. Best price from World of Books.

    This interpretation of Elizabeth Gaskell's books is well produced and extremely well acted by a very talented cast. Like a any good film and book it is difficult to put down. Don't start to watch it in the evening or you will be late to bed. Colin.
