The good Cap.
This is a factory pressed disc ... The serial is spread over 3 dvd's this is part one cotaining eppies 1-5. (You want to check you can get all 3 to get the full run.) The DVD has no menus and pressing menu on your remote will result in the disc playing again from the begining. The print is good- not great and the sound is excellent. I don't think the aspect ratio is quite right - possibly slightly cropped but i'mm not 100% on this and the serial is perfectly watchable. As a serial this a very good one, good fun and quite entertaining - not near to my favourites, but i like it. For the Cap/Marvel fans it's certainly a fun curio though it all depends on whether you like older shows or not. The serial does take a good few liberties with the Kirby and Simon creation. The performances are good and anything with Lionel Atwill is always going to be pretty good. I didn't know anything about Dick Purcell (Cap) previously to watching this - but i did read his wiki and found out this was his last role before passing away at 38, he didn't live to see this released. As i'm a fan of Serials and Comics i'm really pleased to have thia in my collection. How you feel about it will depend on the balance of your interests and expectations. Thank you!
