Compact, easy to use, workhorse
Borrowed this scanner from a friend and loved it. I was able to find an affordable, gently used one and am very happy with the purchase. I have a couple thousand photos to scan; the scanner accepts every size and offers wide resolution choices. So far, I've been able to get by with 200-300 resolutions and I'm satisfied with the outcome. It is easy to set up and use...at this price, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering doing a photo scanning project. Got to replace same model. Plugged in Rollers need to be replaced— so much for low use— Page stop does not work— sensor arm is broke— the same issue I had with the current unit, the reason I was replacing. Great Work Horse

Solid Workhorse of a Scanner
After nine years and a lot of use, my Epson GT-S50 scanner finally died. I immediately bought another one, used, I had liked it so much. It is simple to use, sturdy, & reliable. For black and white, gray scale, or color, from business cards to legal and larger (it can scan documents a wide as 8.5" and up to at least 20" or so, maybe longer, it does a great job. Too much machine for my needs.
I haven't learned to save documents in the preferred file and I have not learned how to save multiple pages in the same file. Maybe it doen's have these features...I shall find out. If it doesn't, well; I bought a machine that spits out the documents but It's not exactly what I thought I was buying. Very solid machine
We have purchased 8 of these machines for our staff. It is the preferred machine my our staff. It is very rugged. I gets thrown around by our staff in the field and continues to perform. There is a very good 1 year warranty in which I have taken advantage of on 3 occasions. We were given new machines on one occasion and repairs at no charge on the other two. Epson Workforce Pro GT-850 works great with Windows 10!!!!!!!!
This product is AWSOME! First of all, i used installed the software via the CD I received, but nothing happened. So I went to Epson website and downloaded the complete software which included the drivers for Windows 10. PRONTO! It was a piece of cake. Everything works great!
