The fragrance is one of my favorites. Seems to me they keep changing the formula though. Doesn't smell the same as it did 10 years ago - that part sucks - but won't stop me from buying it!

My mother wore the most beautiful fragrances and when she died I felt the nicest way to keep her close to me was to wear the same colognes. Then the young lady walked over and apologized if they seemed rude, however, she explained she and her husband while passing me earlier had commented on the beautiful scent I had on wanting to tell me and ask what it was. The husband wasn't sure if it would be improper if he was the one extending the compliment, so his wife stepped in. With smiles and thank yous for sharing the name of the cologne we said goodbye when the husband tapped me on the shoulder and said, "My wife forgot to tell you we think that stuff smells heavenly." I bought the Chanel as a replacement. I ran out about 3 months ago and thought I would try other fragrances, but really missed my Chanel. No 5 is a well known classic and never seems to date. The floral and woody tones are delightful to wear at any time of the day or night, and it is a fragrance which when worn by me has produced many compliments. Above all just wearing this perfume makes me feel confident and good about myself, and I don't really feel dressed without it. So don't save it for best, buy a big bottle and then you can can wear it every day. That is the only disadvantage, the bottle is strictly for dressing table purposes, and I have to "decant" into atmosmiser for handbag spray. It's generally pricey but every woman is very much worth it!
