Even dense brush is no match for the Stihl 015 AV chainsaw. Pushing approximately 2 hp and a 12,500 RPM redline, the Stihl 015 AV chainsaw is both powerful and durable. Produced from 1973 to 1983, many remain in use. The Stihl 015 Av chainsaw featueres a single-cylinder, two-stroke cycle engine with guide bar. The engine sports a piston displacement of 32 cm3 (1.95 cu. in) a cylinder bore of 38 mm (1’.5 in) and a piston stroke of 28 mm (1.1 in). The Stihl 015 chainsaw sports an ignition system that is a transistor controlled contactless magneto and features a suppressed Bosch WSR 6 F spark plug. The starter is conveniently located on the side of the machine, which makes running the deivce easy with a quick pull. The fuel system is enhanced by an all-position diaphragm type carburetor with integrated fuel pump. The fuel tank sports a maximum capacity of 0.33 Iiters (0.7 pints). The Stihl 015 AV chainsaw features a cutting length of 25cm (10 in) and 30 cm (12 in) without carbide and a cutting length of 30cm (12 in) and 35 cm (14 in) with carbide. This chainsaw clocks in at a weight of 5.2 kg or 11.5 pounds. In addition to being lightweight and easy to handle, the 015 AV also features Stihl’s professional grade anti-vibration technology. The rear and front handle feature excellent grip supports, making sure you are always in control. Other features include caged needle roller bearings, and an automatic oil pump to keep the chain running smoothly no matter what your workload. This Stihl chainsaw features a 3/8 " (9.32 mm) Oilomatic Picco chain type with 6 tooth sprocket, and an oil tank capacity of 0.18 liters (0.38 pints). The air filter keeps the gas engine running in good condition with a large area felt element filter.
