Being used, and about 20 years old, it is remarkable the T90 still takes shots to spec. It shows the build quality then... can you imagine a D300 lasting 20 years? Only problem is that one of the T90's does not initiate the flash. It " talks" to the flash, and sets the right speed/ Fstop , but no flash fires. Never read any problems like this before. More investigation is needed. I just put a B/W film through each T90 , with no problems with wrong exposure (excepting the flash not flashing). I prefer the A1, which is lighter, less programme but far easier to use.

This has go to be the most comfortable camera body canon has ever made it just fits you hand lovely! The build quality is outstanding and well the performance is spot on! This was the last pro body of the canon fd series and arguably the best, I’ve owned several of these camera body’s over the years and wouldn’t fault them whatsoever so if your looking for a reliable great build quality body to put your fd glass on this is the camera!!

The t90 was introduced in 1986, and was the last pro manual focus(and FD lens using)Canon 35mm slr. It was superceded by the EOS range of AF models in 1987, but even now, the t90 is one of the best manual focus slr's one can get. It doesn't have the accessory backup of cameras like the Nikon F2 and F3, but it has a very modern, solid feel and ergonomics.Viewfinder is very clear and has the same, brilliant, highly visible LED readout brought in by the Canon A1. It is fairly heavy, but compact( nowhere near the bulk of,say an EOS 1nhs,or 1d). It also has a fast motor drive, without the need for any boosters, etc, unlike, say EOS 1,3 and 1v, and powered by readily available AA batteries. It feels like a later ,high end EOS unit with a manual lens to use, and lenses tend to be cheaper than the AF ones. My t90 came at a bargain price, for a genuinely mint kit, on ebay. They are superb, toughly built pro spec cameras that are great to use, and can be had for £50- £150 for a really good one.Not as easy to use as a modern AF camera, but many people love them, one of the best cameras, even now.Read full review
