I wanted a cheap device with organizer possibilities, but small and light to carry and handle (not thief attractive) with me when I walk in more dangerous places. In those places the samsung tablet rests in the briefcase. It's a solid, reliable, user friendly, light and very handsome product. It has: A battery with great autonomy. A vibrant colorful display. I would like to have a microphone in the device like Tungsten T did to dictate notes when I have my hands occupied. I synchronize it with my Macbook Pro with Lion OS, using an external software that I had to buy. Cheaper than other products in it's kind but has everything you need to keep organized and up to schedule. It has even entertainment with the MP3 Player with a superb sound quality and yet powerful in volume. you can even read ebooks on it! The possibility of use SD or MMC external cards it's wonderful to carry music files, ebooks and to exchange important files between your home and your office. A really GREAT product by a wonderful price.Read full review
My Palm Tungsten TX started malfunctioning, and I went hunting on the web for a repair or replacement. The Tungsten E was available, and although not as versatile as the TX suits my needs perfectly. I don't use the web facility — it's just a diary and address book, which couples with the computer as backup. It's my third Palm PDA, 'cos I like the system — my mobile 'phone has similar capabilities, I have been told, but I like my Palm and the Blackberry doesn't do some things that the Palm does very well.
Bought this to replace my old Palm which I have had for many years. Easy to transfer all my data over and personal information. This one is in excellent condition, battery and screen are very good.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I bought this product solely to down load my RSPB software so that I could use it to identify birds by sight and by call whilst out in the field. The memory card does not have enough space on it and it will not take a bigger on. I cannot get the PDA to sync with my computer. So as far as I'm concerned a waste of space, time and money. I have never owned one before so have nothing to compare it with.I may try to sell on.
Had one of these a few years back; had an M515 and VX before that. I now have a Palm Centro phone, but I have returned to a stand-alone organiser because I like to keep my ToDo lists and projects (using Arranger or Bonsai programmes) and anything else that is easier to create/manage using Palm Grafiti (you write it with a stylus), such as Handy Shopper lists, on the E. I keep other stuff that I need to refer to more often on my Centro. These units are simple machines, easy to use and I have a load of software for them. They are reliable and battery life is good. Actually, the best battery life is with the M515 (which I still have), because the resolution is lower, but the E has sound and vision, which allows me to put Radio shows and films on that I want to listen to/watch - I can even plug it into the car radio to listen to recorded shows. I have a separate MP3 player, but getting stuff on and off of the E's SD card is really easy and I don't have to muck around with my MP3 player - I can leave that set as is, with all my favourite music content. I am a long-term Palm OS fan and really love the software and interface. Will be really sad when all these units finally give up, but that won't be for several years, cos they are reliable and rugged. My bigger problem will be the phone. Read my other review about Palm Treo 650 phones - the same can be said for the Centro, in fact.Read full review
