Basic but easy clean, unlike a chrome finish cafetiere. It is small, however, and I wish these things were advertised stating how many actual normal coffee cups they held - not just expresso size which makes them appear to be larger than they are. This model will just hold one small mugful or 2 little tea cup size drinks!
This particular cafetiere is the most logical of all cafetieres to use in as much as the filter in the cap/lid can only fit in the front of the thing over the pouring spout where it is meant to be. Nearly all cafetieres with filters in their caps need the caps to be accurately positioned otherwise the liquid flow can be restricted.
