I've had a Zire 31 for several years and, although the electronics and screen are fine, the case is getting very worn. Now call me old-fashioned if you will, but I don't see any point in "fixing what ain't broke", so I simply wanted another Zire 31 to keep right on where I left off. The keyboard was simply an interesting extra. Finding the driver for the keyboard was an exercise in frustration but I finally got it running. Whether I'll use it much, I don't know. I don't find the small keyboard on the Zire a problem for most purposes - certainly not enough to want to lug this folding keyboard with me wherever I go. Its main use to me will probably be for writing poetry, when the irritations of the on-screen keyboard may interfere with my composing. I don't know much about other products, although I have acquired some older Palm PDAs. Personally I like this one, find it intuitive to use and have played games on it to fill in time while waiting many times. I like the electronic diary and the Memo. I use the database fairly often too. The thing I like least about it is that the alarm isn't loud enough - I'm hearing impaired and simply don't hear it when the gadget is in my pocket.Read full review
