This digital photo inkjet printer includes the ability to use six different individual colours for precise imaging. The Epson Stylus Photo R300 printer makes use of magenta, cyan, yellow, and three different options for black. This digital photo inkjet printer allows for a number of printing options, including borderless printing, computer free printing with a memory card, and bluetooth wireless. The Epson printer is able to print at the high resolution of 5760 by 1440 in both colours of black. Further features of the Epson printer include the ability to print directly on CDs or DVDs, the option to make use of a built in USB port, and Mac and Windows compatibility. The Epson Stylus Photo R300 can print from SD cards, CF cards, cameras, XD cards, memory sticks, and USB flash drives. Additionally, the Epson printer includes a full colour LCD panel for control and print selection. Old but cheap when available and great for printing labels on "printable" CDs and DVDs.
This is now a pretty ancient machine, but it is one of the few that you can get hold of cheaply that will print on "printable" faced CDs abd DVDs – a task that it performs very well. You can download the main driver from the Epson website which works on all versions of Windows that I have tried it on, up to Windows 10. It will complain that it doesn't have a patch for printing CDs etc. which I haven't been able to find, but you can ignore this message and just choose "manual" each time the option is offered. Then it prints happily. Obviously not "state of the art", no Bluetooth or built-in scanner, but the print quality is surprisingly good. Arrived early, a good sign Prints from Nikon Coolpix A300 were sharp and had excellent colour. Printer upgrade with display screen a good idea but there seems to be only 2 paper sizes for prints:A4 and 6" x 4".
