Adaptable Mac
Despite others' negative opinion that this Mac is an older PPC model and therefore of little utility, I have a more positive viewpoint. While the Mac Mini PPC is limited to a maximum of OS 10.5, there are some advantages to installing the prior OS 10.4 as it allows you to install OS 9 and run that OS in "Classic" mode. This was a real selling point for me as I have the last version of Adobe's FrameMaker (a desktop publishing app which focuses on large large technical documents) made for the Mac and it will only run on PPC Macs. While the maximum memory which can be installed is 1GB, this Mac does not have the maximum 128GB HD limitation of some of the earlier Macs, and OWC sells a 480GB IDE SSD for this machine. Additionally, you can add external USB2 drives if you need more disk space. The ebay prices for the Mac Mini PPC definitely make this model an attractive purchase.

It worked great! It just needed a bit of...
It worked great! It just needed a bit of cleaning, and a new DVD drive. I was able to restore it to factory settings after installing a 120GB ssd and a new dvd drive.
