  • Spider III 120W

Actually it is a 60W X 2 amp. 2 - 80W 10" speakers. 2 output stages, each pushing 60W. Pretty sophisticated amp. Simple electronics, except for the DSP board. Known issues are mostly with the DSP board. Overheating. Lots of easy fixes on YouTube. I have 2 of these amps. I have the 1X12 75W Spider III, and the 2X10 120W Spider III. Same amp other than the power out. After modifying the heat sinks, they run cool, and work well. Tough to beat the sounds. Plenty loud too. Lots of fun to use. Get some backing tracks and you are in business. Not as heavy as you would think for the power. The 2X10 amp could easily have been a 2X12. Actually makes more sense. Especially considering the power out. I'm sure it kept the cost down. A little smaller cab, and cheaper speakers. Even though the 10" speakers are Celestions. Overall..........great amp to practice with and to gig with your local garage group. It certainly can handle this, but heat and durability are issues for the professional user. You would have to contact me to go over the durability issues. Not going to waste my time here on that subject. Line 6 can call me if they want. But I'm sure they are aware. So overall I give it a 4.

  • Best AMP EVER!!!

If you want to practice a lot at home, practice with your band, and many more i would recommend this amp. I can get a really good peavey 6505 sound with it. And a nice clean from hearts burst into fire. This is the best series of amps line 6 has released in my opinion. Sounds really good!
